Our solid core doors are available with different internal core materials to match different project budgets, usage levels and performance requirements.

A balanced option with better stability and strength for hotel and commercial projects

A heavier and stronger solution for high-end projects requiring better durability and a more solid feel
Features of Solid Core Doors
Wanbaoyijia Home Furnishing’s solid-core doors are more suitable for use in construction projects than lightweight hollow-core doors.

The dense internal structure gives the door leaf a heavier and more premium feel when opening and closing.

The solid core helps reduce noise transmission between rooms, making it suitable for bedrooms, hotel rooms, offices and meeting rooms.

The door structure can be matched with suitable hinges, locks and frames according to the actual door weight.

For hotels, apartments and office projects, we help maintain consistent door thickness, weight, finish and hardware configuration across the full order.
Better Anti-Warping Performance
To ensure the stability of solid core doors, we place particular emphasis on controlling the door panel pressing process. We typically employ cold pressing technology, with the pressure and duration of the cold pressing process determined by the specific panel materials and climatic conditions. Generally, the pressure is set at 4–6 tonnes, whilst the duration is at least 8 hours in summer and over 12 hours in winter. Solid core doors produced in this manner offer superior resistance to warping, thereby reducing the likelihood of after-sales issues.

Proper Hardware Configuration
The weight of Solid Core Doors varies depending on the internal filling material and the dimensions of the door leaf. Therefore, we do not use the same hardware for every order, but instead select hinges based on the actual dimensions, thickness and weight of the door leaf.
For solid core doors filled with chipboard, the door leaf is relatively light and is typically fitted with three 2.5mm-thick hinges, offering better value for money. For solid core doors filled with rubberwood, the door leaf is heavier, and we generally recommend using 3.0mm-thick hinges to provide better long-term support.
This helps your project strike a balance between hardware costs, door leaf weight and performance in everyday use.

Solid Core Door Production Solution for Your Project

With 20 door manufacturing plants catering to different market segments and 15 years’ experience in supplying solid core doors, Wanbaoyijia Home Furnishing can flexibly allocate production capacity according to order size. The company is able to reliably fulfil both large and small batch orders, thereby mitigating the delivery risks associated with relying on a single factory’s production capacity.
Wanbaoyijia Home Furnishing supports custom production based on CAD drawings and can tailor the optimal manufacturing solution to your specific dimensions, budget, finish style and hardware configuration.
We strictly control the moisture content of our solid-core doors at around 12 per cent, thereby counteracting internal stresses in the timber caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity. This ensures the doors are suitable for different regional climates and reduces the likelihood of warping or cracking.
Solid Core Door Project Case Studies
See how we help clients select the right solid core door construction, control project costs, match suitable fittings, and maintain consistent quality in hotel, apartment and office projects.

A client in Nigeria wanted doors with a more substantial feel than hollow core doors, but had a limited budget. We recommended particleboard solid core doors with a cost-effective MDF finish, featuring a eucalyptus frame around the door leaf and a solid cypress door frame. The client was very satisfied upon receipt of the goods, noting that the door leaves felt substantial and offered significantly better sound insulation than those filled with honeycomb paper.

A hotel project in Singapore required doors that were heavier and more durable, so the client opted for rubberwood solid core doors. As the door leaves were quite heavy, we fitted them with 3.0mm-thick hinges and selected rubberwood for the door frames as well, with a frame thickness of 35mm to minimise the risk of the door leaves sagging over time.

For a project in South Africa, the client required wooden doors with a certain level of anti-theft protection. In line with their requirements, we recommended solid core doors with a particleboard core, whilst increasing the door leaf thickness to 55 mm. In addition to fitting electronic anti-theft locks, we also fitted bolts at the top and bottom of the door leaf. This resulted in a security rating three times higher than that of standard wooden doors.

For the project in Egypt, the client required wooden doors that were both quiet and secure. We recommended solid core doors made from eucalyptus timber. The fully solid eucalyptus construction is twice as strong as particleboard and offers approximately 30 per cent better sound insulation than semi-solid wooden doors. We also fitted a peephole in each door leaf to provide residents with greater peace of mind.

Trusted Solid Core Doors for Global Projects
No, they are not. A solid core door is not necessarily a solid wood door; it typically features a high-density internal core structure, such as chipboard, eucalyptus or rubberwood, combined with various surface finishes. Compared to solid wood doors, the cost is easier to control; compared to hollow core doors, it offers a more substantial feel and greater stability.
This depends on your budget and the dimensions of the door leaf. Particleboard cores are generally suitable for cost-conscious projects; eucalyptus cores offer a good balance between strength and cost; whilst rubberwood cores are better suited to heavier, higher-end projects.
In many cases, yes. As solid core doors are heavier than hollow core doors, the hinge thickness must be matched to the door’s weight and dimensions. Lighter particleboard solid core doors can usually use 2.5mm-thick hinges; for heavier rubberwood solid core doors, we generally recommend 3.0mm-thick hinges.
Yes, they are. Solid core doors are ideal for projects requiring durability, privacy and a solid feel. For large-scale orders, we can standardise the core material, door leaf thickness, surface finish and hardware configuration to help maintain consistent quality throughout the project.
