Wanbaoyijia Luxury Interior Door Structure and Specification Configuration
Luxury Interior Door describes a higher product specification and price level rather than one fixed door leaf material or core structure. Luxury Interior Doors can use semi-solid timber cores, fully solid timber cores, or selected higher-spec engineered core systems such as a tubular chipboard core. This allows you to choose different options according to your project requirements for door leaf weight, degree of solid filling, design and budget.
A semi-solid structure retains designed cavities or spaces within the solid timber structure, while a fully solid structure uses a higher proportion of continuous solid timber filling. If your project needs to control the door leaf weight, you can choose a semi-solid structure; if you place greater importance on a solid internal structure and a heavier door feel, you can choose a fully solid configuration.
Luxury Interior Doors have a door leaf thickness of 50–55 mm and a door frame thickness of 40–45 mm. The thicker door leaf and frame also provide more structural space for heavier door sets, higher-specification hardware and additional high-end door system configurations.
Taking our factory standard size of 2100 × 900 × 160 mm as an example, a complete Luxury Interior Door set weighs approximately 45–50 kg. This type of configuration is more suitable for high-end residential projects that require a more substantial door set and a higher overall specification.
Popular Luxury Interior Door Designs
Luxury Interior Doors can range from restrained flush surfaces to carved panels, contrasting inlays and wide-opening systems, giving project buyers different visual directions for interior spaces.

A warm cream surface is paired with a slim vertical metallic line and black lever handle, creating a restrained look for modern residential and hospitality interiors.

A soft beige finish and narrow vertical detailing keep the design quiet and coordinated, especially where several matching doors are used along the same corridor.

A grey wood-grain surface is defined by slim vertical dark lines and a small geometric accent, giving the door a distinctive but controlled decorative character.

A warm brown wood-grain surface is crossed by vertical and horizontal gold-toned inlays, creating a stronger decorative contrast for refined interior schemes.

A natural wood-grain door leaf features a deep three-dimensional grid detail along one side, adding texture and visual depth to a simple slab design.

A bright green surface combines large arched panel shaping with a smaller arched inset at the bottom, creating an unconventional design for customised interior projects.

Light and dark wood-grain finishes are shown with simple perimeter framing and more decorative classic mouldings, giving buyers two different traditional styling directions.

A light grey door with a slim vertical metallic line is displayed beside a plain black door, showing two restrained colour-led approaches for modern interiors.

Three wood-grain doors use relief carving, angular panel geometry and concentric curved grooves, showing how surface detailing can create very different decorative expressions.

Two black doors contrast an all-over textured pattern with a cleaner horizontal-panel design, offering different levels of visual detail within the same dark colour family.

Large double-leaf doors use dark grey wood-grain finishes and framed panel detailing, giving wider openings a more formal and symmetrical architectural appearance.

Multiple tall wood-grain panels fold across a wide opening, providing a flexible opening configuration for interiors that need to divide or reconnect larger spaces.
Luxury Interior Doors by Solid Timber Core Structure
Luxury Interior Doors can use different solid timber core structures according to door leaf weight and the required level of solid filling. The two main options are semi-solid timber cores and fully solid timber cores.
Semi-Solid Timber CoreThe door leaf mainly uses solid timber internally, while designed cavities or spaces are retained within the core. If you want a solid timber internal structure while keeping the door leaf lighter than a fully solid structure, you can choose this option.
Fully Solid Timber CoreThe door leaf uses a higher proportion of continuous solid timber filling. This option is more suitable for high-end residential projects that place greater emphasis on a solid internal structure, a heavier door feel and a higher overall door specification.
The Complete Door Set Is Made of Solid TimberThe complete door set uses a solid construction with no filling material. The surface and interior of the door leaf use the same material. For example, a Stile and Rail Door can use Grade A rubberwood boards throughout the complete door set, giving the door leaf an elegant appearance and making it suitable for high-end interior design projects.
Advantages of Luxury Interior Doors
Luxury Interior Doors allow more components of the complete door set to be upgraded together. In addition to selecting the core structure, you can also upgrade the sealing, hardware, finishes and decorative details according to your project requirements, making the complete door set easier to match with the performance and appearance requirements of high-end residential projects.

The door core and sealing system can use a Tubular Chipboard Core and an automatic drop-down bottom sealing system, further improving the sound-insulation performance of the complete door set.

The 40–45 mm thick door frame has a stronger structure and provides more installation space for concealed door closers of different specifications, giving the installed door a cleaner appearance.

Heavier Luxury Interior Doors can use four hinges. For a door leaf weighing approximately 50 kg, this configuration provides better support and reduces the risk of hinge damage during long-term use.

You can choose different finishes, including wood veneer and rubberwood finishes. If your project requires a more natural wood grain and timber appearance, you can select a more suitable surface option according to the overall interior design.

For larger orders, the finish colour can be adjusted according to an approved sample. If the doors need to coordinate with wall panels, you can confirm the colour sample before production to reduce the risk of obvious colour differences across the project.

Luxury Interior Doors can use 60 mm or 100 mm architraves. Wider architraves can make the complete door set look more substantial and complete.
Reducing the Risk of Luxury Interior Door Damage
Wanbaoyijia can use wooden crate packaging for Luxury Interior Doors when the delivery location requires multiple vehicle changes, transfers or loading and unloading operations. The crates are made from 9 mm multi-layer plywood, and one crate can usually hold around 10 complete door sets, with a loaded weight of approximately 0.7–1 tonne.
To increase the strength of the crate, the four corners are reinforced with double-layer plywood, while approximately 3–4 vertical reinforcement strips are added along the sides. This helps reduce crate deformation during repeated handling and vehicle transfers, lowering the risk of the door leaves and frames inside being knocked or compressed.
The bottom of the crate is raised by approximately 100 mm to allow direct forklift handling. This allows you to move the goods as a complete crate, reducing repeated unpacking and manual handling, while also lowering the risk of damage to door leaf edges, corners and surfaces during loading and unloading.
After the crate is closed, product information and transport labels such as FRAGILE are attached to the outside, making it easier for freight forwarders, warehouses and your receiving team to identify and check the goods.

CNC Machining and Manual Inspection of Hinge Recesses
For Luxury Interior Doors with higher configuration requirements, Wanbaoyijia can use concealed 3D hinges and pre-machine the corresponding hinge recesses in the factory. This means you do not need to measure and cut the recesses again on site, reducing installation work.
The 3D hinge recesses are first machined by CNC equipment according to the confirmed position and shape, with the machining tolerance controlled within 1.5 mm. This helps the hinges align more accurately with the door leaf and frame, reducing the risk of positional errors after installation.
After CNC machining, we also carry out a manual trial-fit inspection. Workers place the 3D hinge into the machined recess to check whether the size and position are suitable. Through CNC machining + manual trial-fit inspection, hinge-recess problems can be identified before shipment, reducing the risk that you need to re-cut or adjust the recesses on site.

Tubular Chipboard Core Jointly Developed with Our Timber Supplier

Some Luxury Interior Doors on the market use tubular chipboard cores with larger holes to reduce material use. However, larger internal cavities also reduce door leaf weight and can affect its substantial feel and sound-insulation performance.
Wanbaoyijia takes a different approach. We work with our timber supplier to redesign the tubular chipboard core according to the structure of our Luxury Interior Door. It uses a 20 mm hole diameter, 20 mm hole spacing and 42 mm board thickness, making it better suited to our 50 mm thick door leaf.
This structure increases the amount of material inside the door core, helping the door leaf maintain greater weight and a more substantial feel, while also improving its sound-insulation performance.
For your high-end residential project, Wanbaoyijia can provide a door core specifically matched to our Luxury Interior Door structure rather than using a standard tubular chipboard core purchased directly from the market, providing a better balance between door leaf weight, sound insulation and closing feel..
Luxury Interior Door Solutions for Different High-End Project Requirements
Different Luxury Interior Door projects may have different requirements for colour consistency, moisture resistance, colour matching and structural stability. The following cases show how we adjusted the materials and door structure according to different high-end residential project requirements.

A project in Chile had to be completed in several stages, and the customer was concerned about colour differences between different batches of Luxury Interior Doors. The customer asked whether we had a suitable solution. After discussing the project with the customer, we recommended a prefinished Luxury Interior Door because the facing panels use a melamine finish. Melamine provides good colour consistency and can help reduce colour differences between multiple purchasing batches. The customer ultimately accepted our recommendation.

In a project in Thailand, the customer’s Luxury Interior Doors were to be installed near the coast, and the customer wanted painted Luxury Interior Doors with relatively good moisture resistance. Based on this requirement, we decided to apply PVC edge sealing around all four edges of the door leaves in this batch. PVC edge sealing on painted doors can help block moisture and reduce the risk of the wooden doors cracking.

In a project in Singapore, the customer had already selected the wall panels and therefore needed a Luxury Interior Door with a colour close to the wall panels. After reviewing the colour sample sent by the customer, we recommended a painted Luxury Interior Door. We can work with the paint factory to mix a colour that is very close to the customer’s sample. After reviewing the colour sample we sent, the customer felt that the colour was a close match and ultimately accepted our solution.

In a project in Thailand, the customer selected a fully solid Luxury Interior Door but was concerned that the high internal stress of the solid timber inside the door leaf might cause deformation. After understanding the customer’s concerns, we decided to change the configuration from a solid timber frame to an LVL frame because LVL has better resistance to deformation than ordinary solid timber. The customer was ultimately reassured and placed an order for 80 sets of Luxury Interior Doors.

Customer Feedback on Wanbaoyijia Luxury Interior Doors
Not necessarily. A Luxury Interior Door can use a fully solid timber structure, a semi-solid structure or another confirmed higher-spec core system.
No. A more substantial door leaf can provide the heavier feel required in some high-end projects, but excessive weight also increases the load on the hinges, door frame and other hardware. The door leaf structure and hardware should therefore be matched as a complete system.
It is better to confirm concealed hinges, concealed closers and other hardware that requires recesses before production. This type of hardware usually requires specific recess dimensions and positions, so we reinforce the relevant areas during production. If the hardware is added later, the installed wooden door may not be as structurally secure.
If the project places importance on appearance, materials, hardware matching, a substantial closing feel and customised details, a Luxury Interior Door can have practical purchasing value.
A standard interior door mainly provides basic space separation and everyday use. A Luxury Interior Door generally places greater emphasis on structure, finish consistency, hardware, details, customisation and coordination with the overall interior design.
The supply scope varies between suppliers and quotations, so it should not be assumed that every Luxury Interior Door quotation includes the same components.
There is no single fixed material for Luxury Interior Doors. High-end interior doors on the market can use solid timber, engineered structures, natural wood veneer, different high-end finishes, glass and other supporting materials. For WB Door Factory, the confirmed materials, structures and finish options on this page include solid timber, semi-solid, fully solid, Tubular Chipboard Core, wood veneer, rubberwood, Melamine and painted finishes.
Yes. Glass can be added to a Luxury Interior Door according to the design requirements.
The hardware should be selected according to the door leaf size, weight and design requirements. Depending on the project, a Luxury Interior Door can use standard hinges, concealed 3D hinges, concealed closers and different types of locks and handles.
Luxury Interior Doors do not have one fixed design style. Depending on the project, they can use flat-panel designs, decorative mouldings, wood veneer effects, painted finishes, glass details or other customised designs. Designers or project buyers can provide renderings, CAD drawings or reference images, and the final design can then be confirmed according to the actual door dimensions and structure.
The architrave should be selected according to the door frame dimensions and the overall interior design. Our Luxury Interior Doors can use different architrave widths, including the 60 mm and 100 mm configurations already confirmed on this page. In general, for taller and wider Luxury Interior Doors, we recommend the 100 mm configuration.
