The client provided a door opening measuring 0.9 metres wide by 2.5 metres high. We recommended a 0.88-metre-wide arched door with a semi-circular 180-degree curve, with a radius of 0.44 metres, and a height of 2.44 metres. The final result was produced to these specifications, and the client was very pleased with it, finding it looked very harmonious.
For the South Africa project, the client’s door opening is 1.5 metres wide, but they are unsure what type of arched door to choose. Based on our established design guidelines, a 1.5-metre door opening can accommodate an arched door 1.48 metres wide, with a corresponding arc radius of 0.74 metres. The two vertical frames must be at least 2 metres high to ensure the overall design is harmonious. Ultimately, we designed a double-leaf arched interior door measuring 2.74 metres in height and 1.48 metres in width. Once installed, he found the proportions to be very harmonious, and the colour was exactly to his liking.
For a hotel project in Singapore, the client requested a double-leaf arched interior door with a door opening width of 2 metres and a height of 2.75 metres. Given these dimensions, we were unable to produce a perfectly circular 180-degree arched interior door. Ultimately, we designed a ‘three-centre’ arched interior door for them, with a door opening width of 1.98 metres, an arch height of 0.66 metres, and a total height of 2.66 metres. Upon reviewing our design, the client was very satisfied, and once installed, they felt the proportions were very harmonious.
For the Australian project, the client required the delivery of 55 arched interior doors within 35 days. We liaised with the factory to arrange expedited production by pre-cutting the arched modules, completing the task in 33 days, and loading the goods for dispatch on the 35th day.
